The wait is over! Netflix has released a 49-second teaser for Squid Game Season 2.
The teaser introduces new players, each with unique identity numbers, wearing iconic green tracksuits. The last player revealed is Seong Gi-hun with his patch #456.
Plot and Characters
Season 2 begins three years after Gi-hun’s victory. He is determined to uncover the people behind the brutal game and stop them.
Using his prize money, Gi-hun searches for the mysterious man in a suit who plays ddakji in the subway. However, his quest proves more dangerous than expected, forcing him to re-enter the deadly game to end it.
Returning characters include the Front Man, played by Lee Byung-hun, and new faces like Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-Neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong-geun.
Release Date and Future Plans
Squid Game Season 2 is set to premiere on December 26, 2024.
Netflix has confirmed the series for a third season, which is expected to debut in 2025.
The first season of Squid Game, released in 2021, became Netflix’s most popular show ever.
