Jaat Box Office Collection Day 1: Sunny Deol’s Movie Opens with ₹9.5 Crore on First Day, Faces Tough Comparisons

Jaat Box Office Collection Day 1: Sunny Deol’s much-anticipated action film Jaat, directed by Gopichand Malineni, hit theatres on April 10, 2025, and collected a respectable ₹9.5 crore on its opening day.

However, the film’s performance has sparked mixed reactions, especially compared to Deol’s blockbuster Gadar 2, which opened at a massive ₹40 crore in 2023.

Jaat Day 1 Box Office Collection

According to Sacnilk.com, Jaat had a good day with 9.5 crore made on Thursday with an overall 12.89% Hindi occupancy. Jaipur and Chennai recorded the best audiences.

Jaat recorded an overall 14.28% occupancy on its first day, with morning shows starting at 9.56% and peaking at 18.47% during night shows.

The film performed well in mass belts but struggled in metro cities like Mumbai and Delhi-NCR. Notably, it had 1,472 shows in Delhi-NCR alone, achieving around 19% occupancy in the region.

The film’s advance bookings were also underwhelming, earning just ₹2.37 crore by Wednesday night, significantly lower than Gadar 2‘s ₹17.60 crore pre-release business.

Comparisons with Recent Releases

While Jaat ranks as the fourth-highest Hindi opener of 2025, it falls short of recent hits like Salman Khan’s Sikandar (₹26 crore) and Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force (₹12 crore).

Trade analysts have noted that the film benefited from the poor second-week performance of Sikandar, which failed to sustain audience interest.

Will Jaat manage to pick up steam over the weekend and live up to Sunny Deol’s legacy? Share your thoughts!
