Akshay Kumar's comedy franchise introduces two versions with different killers, marking the first Indian film to offer audiences a choice between alternate endings.

Updated:

Housefull 5 has released today with a groundbreaking concept that makes it the first Indian film to feature two different climaxes.

The Sajid Nadiadwala production offers audiences Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B, each revealing a different killer in the murder mystery plot.

The Core Difference Between Housefull 5A and 5B

The fundamental difference lies in the climax and ending of both versions. In the film’s murder mystery plot, one pivotal character gets killed and six people become prime suspects.

Housefull 5A reveals one character as the killer, while Housefull 5B unmasks a completely different character as the murderer.

Housefull 5 A and B Difference

The rest of the film remains identical in both versions. Only the final 15-20 minutes differ between the two versions, making it a strategic move to encourage double viewings.

The 2 hours 45 minutes runtime stays the same, with just the climax portion being different.

Star Cast and Production Details

Theater Distribution Strategy

Exhibitors are dividing screens equally between both versions. Manoj Desai from G7 multiplex confirmed that Gaiety will screen four shows of Housefull 5A while Galaxy will run four shows of Housefull 5B. The strategy aims to provide equal screen time for both versions across approximately 5000 screens nationwide.

This innovative approach could potentially double the box office returns from the same budget, as fans might watch both versions to experience different endings.

Will this dual-climax strategy set a new trend in Bollywood filmmaking?
