Netflix has announced the release date for its upcoming film ‘CTRL’, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane.
Starring Ananya Panday and Vihaan Samat, this cutting-edge thriller will premiere on October 4, 2024.
A Digital Nightmare Begins
In ‘CTRL’, Ananya Panday plays Nella Awasthi, and Vihaan Samat portrays Joe Mascarenhas. They are a romantic couple loved by their online followers. But what happens when they break up?

Produced by Saffron and Andolan Films, CTRL explores the dark side of technology and social media. It questions how much of our lives we are willing to share and how much control we have over our digital existence.
Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, known for Netflix’s first Indian series ‘Sacred Games’, ‘Udaan‘ and ‘Lootera‘, ‘CTRL‘ is about rethinking our dependence on technology.
Motwane explains, “With the time we spend on our devices, screen time is now redefined as screen life. Are we actually in control of all digital extensions of our lives, or are we being controlled?“
Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh, Director of Original Films at Netflix India, adds, “CTRL is proof of our promise of telling unique stories that thrill and entertain.”
