A storm has erupted in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, after a series of intimate videos went viral on social media. The man in the videos is Shubham Gupta, also known as Ravi Gupta, the son of Seema Gupta, who is a former city president of the BJP Mahila Morcha in Mainpuri.
According to reports from Dynamite News, the scandal involves more than 130 alleged videos showing Shubham, who is married, with a woman who is not his wife.

Police Case and Cross-Complaints
The case has become complicated with two separate FIRs filed.
- Shubham’s wife, Sheetal Gupta, has filed a complaint against him, accusing him of domestic violence, dowry harassment, and mental torture. She alleges Shubham would show her the videos to humiliate her and claims he used his mother’s political influence to threaten her.
- The woman seen in the videos has also filed a police complaint. She accused Sheetal Gupta, her sister, and her brother-in-law, Neeraj Gupta, of leaking the videos to blackmail her. She claimed they demanded money and, when she refused, made the videos public.
Following these complaints, the police arrested Neeraj Gupta for his alleged role in circulating the videos. The police reportedly used a video of Neeraj showing the clips to a crowd on his mobile phone as evidence for the arrest.
Political Fallout
The scandal has drawn sharp criticism from opposition parties. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav slammed the BJP, comparing the incident to the infamous Prajwal Revanna case in Karnataka.
In response, the BJP distanced itself from the accused’s family. UP minister Jaiveer Singh stated that Shubham’s mother, Seema Gupta, was expelled from the party in 2022 and is no longer a member.
