Indian rapper Badshah found himself at the center of a social media storm after what began as an innocent appreciation post turned into a highly controversial comment about international pop star Dua Lipa.
The controversy started on June 6, 2025, when Badshah posted a simple message on X (formerly Twitter) that read “Dua Lipa ❤️“. The post initially appeared to be a straightforward expression of admiration for the global pop sensation.
The Comment That Sparked Outrage
The situation quickly escalated when a curious fan asked Badshah if he was planning a musical collaboration with Dua Lipa. Instead of addressing the collaboration question professionally, Badshah responded with: “I’d rather make babies with her, bro“.
This unexpected and inappropriate response immediately triggered a massive backlash across social media platforms. Critics labeled the comment as “cheap,” “creepy,” and “disgusting“. One user wrote: “EWWWWW, what a creep. Women really can’t catch a break online or in real life“.

The rapper faced severe criticism from multiple angles. He posted: “I think one of the most beautiful compliments that you could give to a woman that you really admire is to wish for her to mother your children. This defense only intensified the backlash. Users called it a “wahiyat cover-up” (terrible cover-up) and criticized him further. One person wrote: “That was a clever way to defend and hide your crude remarks about wanting to get another woman pregnant. Grow up, weirdo!“.
