Malayalam action thriller 916 Kunjoottan has made its digital debut today. The film, starring Guinness Pakru in the lead role, is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. This gives Malayalam movie fans a new addition to their weekend watchlist.
The movie first hit theatres on May 23, 2024, and its OTT release came unexpectedly at midnight on July 11. Neither the makers nor the platform had announced this digital launch earlier.
What is 916 Kunjoottan About?
The story revolves around Sidharth, known as Kunjoottan, a man with a small stature. He lives two different lives—one as a tricky trader in the city and the other as a simple tea shop owner in his village. When hidden secrets come out, he has to prove what true strength really means.
The film’s strong cast includes Tiny Tom, Rakesh Subramanian, Dayyana Hameed, Niya Varghese, Shaju Sreedhar, Kottayam Ramesh, and Sinoj Angamaly. It is directed by debutant Aaryan Vijay and produced by Morze Dragon Entertainment.
